Personal Service is the core value of our Business. From collection to return of your furniture we keep you informed as much or as little as you want. You are welcome to visit, by arrangement, during working hours to see how we are progressing.
I have a large stock of original period woods which enables me to match grain and carry our good quality repairs effectively.
For Private Collections, dependant on the size of job, I may be able to work on site if you prefer.

Our complete service can include arranging for gilding, large carving jobs, lacquerwork, re-upholstery, brass inlay, handles, escutcheons, castings, etc..
All restorations are expertly colour matched and retaining the original patina is a high priority. I can enhance the colour if requested - lightening, darkening, etc..
We do not however do any work which is not in keeping with the originality of the piece or which is not true to the period.
We can advise on carriers if you prefer to have your items delivered to us.
Price: You may of course ask for an estimate, but generally our prices are based on an hourly rate and therefore final cost depends on the size and complexity of the job and the cost of materials and extras requested by you. Most people prefer this and it allows us to do a proper job and present you with a first class result. You will find us fair in this respect. You will be charged only for hours worked and materials or other specific costs incurred by me.
